Alexis Arguello Dead

Alexis Arguello was born in 19th of April, 1952; he was a former proficient boxer. Alexis Arguello has honor to win the World Champion in boxing for three times. Alexis Arguello became politician after his withdrawal from boxing and became an active politician in “Nicaraguan politics”. Alexis Arguello was selected as a Mayor of Managua (The Nation`s Capital City) in November, 2008. Alexis Arguello is ranked at Number 20 on “Ring Magazine`s List of 100 Greatest Punchers of all Time”. He fought in most “Classic Brawls of the Boxing” and “Reigned Supreme at 130 Pounds”.

Unfortunate News about him is that Alexis Arguello is found dead in early Wednesday at his home. His death is supposedly to be committed as suicide. According to the report from “Channel8, National Television”, Alexis Arguello shot himself within the heart and died at 1:00 a.m local time on 1st July, 2009. The National Police has confirmed the death of Alexis Arguello but still waiting the consequences of the autopsy (post-mortem). Ya , Local Media and Sandanista Party’s Radio were also reported his death as a suicide.

Alexis Arguello was 57 years old, have many records. Alexis leaved boxing in 199 with the record of 82-8 with 65 knockouts. Alexis Auguello was definitely best known for his two exciting battles with “Bobby Chacon and Ruben Olivares” and “Aaron Pryor and fights with Ray Mancini.

He will always be remember in the history of boxing and will never die in the hearts of his fans.
