The hills of Anaheim have caught fire tonight. The fire department is struggling to extinguish the fire. They have established a helipad to facilitate helicopter that carries 1000 gallons of water to sprinkle on the fire. The 241 toll road has been closed by the California Highway Patrol. The helicopter along with fire engine is making joint effort to deal with the situation. The night time operation to extinguish fire is a bit dangerous but the brave fellows are leaving no stone unturned.

The fire erupted on the eastern side of the highway which caused the blockage of way between eastern and western sides. The firemen are trying their best to restrain the fire from spreading to the western side. The ground firemen are also attacking the blaze. The fire has damaged a 25-acres stretch of hillside. At least 15 fire engines were dealing with the fire and some more engines are expected to join the effort. Wind blowing is another factor which usually accelerates fire spread and it is blowing with an average speed of 20 miles per hour. But luckily, firemen have been successful in containing the fire. But there is still a chance of further spread. “It’s got some potential to spread,” said Battalion Chief Kris Concepcion of the Orange County Fire Authority.

The official told that they will try to confine the fire to the eastern part of the toll because the residential area and other structures are on the western side.
