The human heart is a strange vessel. Love and hatred can exists, side by side but sometime heart itself refuses to exist in body and a Berlin heart is used consequently. The Berlin heart is an artificial man –made heart, yes! This is a compact and small device and was developed at the Berlin heart center in Germany. That is the reason it is named “Berlin Heart”. It is available in different sizes. The Berlin heart can operate just like an original human heart.
Sometimes some infants are born with imperfect and defective hearts and it becomes impossible to survive in this condition with a flawed heart. It is very necessary to treat these children appropriately to save their life. In the case, medical therapy can serve to survive, and surgery is proved the only way. The most advanced technology of last two decades has been conjoined and to develop this Berlin Heart, the piece of modern technology is placed in a congenital heart during surgery to save the lives of infants and people with heart problems. Though the technique of heart transplant is comparatively simple, but getting a heart is tremendously demanding and difficult. A few numbed of people agrees to donate body parts for transplantation and this shortage of organs creates a crises.
Now, scientists have advanced many categories of artificial heart devices. These artificial hearts are made of metal and implicate multipart and complex technologies- most automated artificial hearts are big in size and weighty. There are only a few that can be retained inside the human body and others are placed outside the chest with numerous tubing accessories.
The Berlin heart is only for temporary use until a donor heart becomes available for a transplant. The Berlin heart is not yet approved for use by the FDA and is only available after approval from the FDA on a case by case review. Once the device is used, it is retuned back to Germany. The Berlin heart has saved many lives and is a smart alternative for children with failing heart who are waiting a heart transplant. The Berlin heart can occupation the pumping action of the heart and propel blood straightly to the rest of the body.
This device, The Berlin heart is temporarily used in case a donor heart is not going to available for a transplant at that time. But The Berlin heart is not sanctioned by the FDA for use. No doubt, The Berlin heart has protected many lives and is a smart substitute for children with heart problems and need heart transplantation.
