Professor Richard T Antoun has died of the stabbing wounds. He was 77 and was teaching Anthropolgy at Binghamton Uiversity. The details of the incidents are still sketchy but it is clear that Professor Antoun was rushed to Wilson Regional Medical Center at about 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Students of the Binghamton University were informed by a text message from the University authorities that a stabbing incident has occurred and they were advised to stay away from the Science One building of the campus.

The text message also informed that the suspect is in police custody and there is no reason to be concerned. However the text message has not stopped rumors from spreading as the identity of the suspect and the circumstances in which the stabbing took place have not been made public.

Police report just says that Binghamton University Professor was stabbed with a six inch kitchen knife in

Science One building. It is suspected that the killer is a University student.

Police is not releasing the details until further investigations and until the suspect is formally charged with the murder of Professor Antoun.

Bingham University Stabbing incident is not an isolated one. In the recent times Bingham University has been a subject of various incidents resulting in many deaths. Almost eight months ago 13 people were killed, when a man opened fire. University basketball team has been taken apart as a result of some legal battle. During the past year a student was attacked, who hardly survive from the incident.
