The California state elections were held yesterday. The California election results are now out, but please note that these are not the final results and final results may vary. For the seat of the governor Ms. Meg Whitman, a former chief executive officer at the eBay is having the lead. Ms. Meg is having 565,629 votes which are almost sixty four percent of the registered voters. Mr. Steve Poizner is on number two with twenty six percent votes. For the U.S senate seat Ms. Carly Fiorina is in the lead. The politicians spent millions of dollars on their election campaign. The Competition was a tough one. Ms. Meg is billionaire; an amount of seventy million dollars was spent by Ms. Meg Whitman on her campaign. A former Silicon Valley executive Mr. Steve Poizner spent twenty five million dollars. The competition was between two main parties of the U.S, which are the Republicans and the Democratic. This the first time that California Republican party has

nominated female candidates for the seats of both the U.S senate seat and the governor’s seat. These elections have been historic. The voters waited anxiously for the California election results, now that almost final results are out they can relax. Mr. Richard William Aguirre from the Democrats has gained twenty six thousand seven hundred and eighty four votes which is only 4.4 percent of the total voters. People think that it is a good decision of the Republicans that they have given a ticket to a female for the elections. The official and final California election results will soon be out.
