American football player Charlie Davies, who plays for the United States national team and known as the most talented team player was badly injured in a single car crash killing a fellow passage, accident took place at 3:15 A.M. on Virginia side of the George Washington Parkway. Charlie is now out of danger and in a stable condition. Charlie Davies was the hope of America and seemed to be the vital part for getting success in 2010 soccer world cup.

According to police statement neither David nor Roberta was driving the car; an unidentified female lost her control of the car somehow and hit the guardrail. Accident was so horrific that car burst into two pieces. Another passenger, 22 years old Ashley Roberta was killed in the accident. Davis was brought to Med Star Hospital immediately by a helicopter after the accident. He underwent at least 5 hours of surgery at the hospital for punctured lung, lacerated bladder, broken fibula, tibia and for his broken right leg, according to an official statement by the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Born in Manchester, N.H. Charlie David might miss World Cup 2010 in South Africa, he most likely will miss France Ligue 1 season. He was on top of his game and scored 2 goals for Sochaux in six games this season.

In August 12, 2009, he contributed vital goals versus Egypt to lead the team towards the Confederations Cup final.

His most striking and potential performance this year was when he achieved the opening goal in a qualifying match for US World Cup against Mexico, this performance has put the Americans forward in legendary Azteca stadium for the first time in soccer’s history.
