Chasing Amy is 1997 Romantic Comedy and is one of my all time favorites. I have just finished watching the film for third time!

Ben Affleck and Lee are fast friends. They both share the passion of drawing comics. Everything is fine until Alyssa enters in their life. It is revealed that Alyssa is a lesbian. Lee is deeply disturbed by the fact that she has homosexual relationships with other woman. Affleck on the other hand considers this as Alyssa’s personal matter and is not much disturbed by the fact. As the plot of the movie progresses Ben Affleck falls in love with Alyssa. Alyssa is disturbed by the fact and tells Affleck that it is unfair as he was aware that she was a lesbian, but later that night they make love with each other.

This is too much for Lee. He digs Alyssa’s past and finds out that she has been involved in pervert sexual activities. Again Affleck thinks this impossible as he knows that Alyssa has a bent towards homosexuality. However to confirm he asks Alyssa. Alyssa confesses that she has done extensive sexual experimentation in her past! Their relationship is estranged. Affleck has a friend Silent Bob who reveals that he suspected his girlfriend Amy. They both get separated and now he is “Chasing Amy”. Affleck getting warned tries to mend the relationship but nothing works out.

There is a fair and Affleck is promoting his book “Chasing Amy”. Lee is there to visit Affleck. He sees towards a stall where Alyssa is standing and encourages Affleck to go there. Affleck approaches Alyssa and gives her, his book Chasing Amy. As Alyssa’s girlfriend approaches her and asks about Affleck, she shakes her head and says with indifference that he was just a guy she knew in the past.
