ABC has confirmed that filming on the further episodes of “Cougar Town” has been halted. ABC has also cleared that filming has been stopped only temporarily and the reason has been cited as Courtney Cox’s unavailability for the time being. Since the reason behind the unavailability of the star has not been confirmed either by ABC or by Courtney Cox herself, lot of guess work is in progress. There is no confirmation at all that the production has been stopped for some family tragedy that has hit the star.

The series shows Courtney Cox as 40 years old single mother. She is still dating to find a partner for herself.

The only reason behind the unavailability of the star is given as some family matter keeping Courtney Cox engaged. However viewers can find some relief in the fact that three episodes of the series have already been filmed and would be aired during early 2010. The rumors also have that ABC may be looking at the alternate options.

Courtney Cox has been married to David Arquette and the couple have 5 years old daughter Coco to themselves. In a recent interview Cox shared her concern over her advanced age and fertility. She said that she has talked with Arquette to have more children and they are mentally preparing themselves. Courtney Cox is 45 and as her photographs showing her coming out of public came online it was rumored that she has been consulting her doctor for complications related to menopause.
