One of the most popular event Detroit Marathon’s festivities turned in to a tragedy. The event became disastrous when three of the runners died during the race. But anyone has failed to reason out why these

deaths happened at the same event. But there are certain surmises to reckon the cause. Deceased runners Daniel Langdon and Rick Brown had ages 36, 65 respectively and Jon Fenlon who had covered half of the total marathon was 26 year of age.

The temperature at the beginning of the race was not high at all and was just 28 degrees but during the course of the lengthy and prolonged race, it approached to forty degrees centigrade. But the possibility of sun stroke might not have been one of the possibilities which exacerbated the situation for the runners and consequently and coincidently three of them lost not only the race but also the battle of life.

The possibility of the impact of cold breeze also does not make any sense as the wind was not blowing during the Marathon and the weather conditions were absolutely alright. Two of the runners had covered almost 12 miles distance before they died and the third runner had accomplished half the Marathon. The incident is sorrowfully amazing as Detroit Marathon never had such coincidence of three deaths. So much so, the incident of death during the marathon has never been reported for last fifteen years. This is what we have which is nothing but wild guesses based upon hypothetical presumptions. But the actual causes of deaths are still to be released by the concerned official authorities.
