Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren has been appointed officially the ambassador of Marbella. The news has been announced by the Town Hall on Tuesday. The mayor of Marbella city, Angeles Munoz, announced the news and said that it is an honor for the people of Marbella that a person as ‘distinguished’ as Dolph Lundgren has chosen to be live with us. Dolph Lundgren commented on the news and said that the city is very special for him and his family and praised the warm hospitality of its people.

Dolph Lundgren is a Swedish actor, model, and director. He is best known for his role as Russian wrestler in the film Rocky IV. His acting performance as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV brought the actor in the mainstream and proved to be a breakthrough project for him. Lundgren made his debut performance in 1985 through a minor role in James Bond film titled A View to a Kill. He then beat more than

5,000 hopefuls for the role of Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. His first lead role was the character of He-Man in Masters of the Universe. Apart from his acting ventures, Dolph Lundgren has done some commercial for Swatch and an online casino SilverSands. He has also directed some videos.

He has been referred to in many books and music and TV production. A Metalrock band Will Haven named one of their songs after him. In an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the main characters Charlie and Mac writes a movie script and decides to cast Dolph Lundgren as a lead role.
