Edmund Fitzgerald, the biggest cruise till 1971, sank exactly 34 years ago on 10th November. It was launched in 1958 and it travelled along great lakes but on 10th November proved fatal for that amazing cruise ship, it suddenly caught by a storm and sank in more than 500 feet of water. It was a great tragedy for Edmund Fitzgerald, nobody knows what happened, it was such a serious incident created by the storm that the communication system failed altogether at that time and the ship was unable to send any kind of disaster signal what so ever.

The memorial service has been arranged for the victims of Edmund Fitzgerald in the Chippewa County, at the Shipwreck Museum in Whitefish point in the morning. The Marnier’s Churched was belled 29 times, each ring for the each person died.

10th November 1975, 34 years back the Great Lakes witnessed and involved in one of the biggest tragedy of the history. The Edmund Fitzgerald was reported to catch by a ferocious storm which usually awakes in November. The Lake Superior was the place where the Edmund Fitzgerald sank. The storm was strong enough to sink the ship and to kill all 29 people on board.

Edmund Fitzgerald hasn’t had a great time right from the beginning. It was handed over to the Columbian transport company in 1985. Right from 1970, the ship faced quite a hard time as it collided with S.S Hochelaga and later on hit the wall of a lock. It hit another lock in 1973 and one year later, the ship lost its original bow in Detroit River.
