Eid-ul-Fitr 2009

Eid ul Fitr 2009 is around the corner and the Muslims have already started preparing for its festivities. Muslims all over the world are going to celebrate Eid ul Fitr 2009 next week. In many Muslim countries, national holidays have been announced for the Eid. According to the reports, Arab countries have announced three days national Eid holidays. Many Muslims states have announced payment of salaries to government employees before the Eid. Our representatives have reported that the ruler of Fujairah, Sheikh Hammad Bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi have issued directives to pay salaries before Eid so that their employees so they could make arrangements for Eid celebrations.

Eid ul Fitr is a religious festival of Muslims. Eid ul Fitr is celebrated on the 1st of Islamic month Shawwal. Muslims keep fast during the holy month Ramadan and when the month of fasting ends they celebrate Eid.

Eid ul Fitr is an important religious event and Muslims all over the world wait anxiously for the festival to come. The festivities begin with a morning prayer. Men, women, and children say the Eid prayer in the morning. After the Eid prayers, they meet their friends and family relatives. Family get-togethers are arranged and scrumptious dinners and meals are served. Deserts are an essential part of the Eid celebrations and the elderly family members make special efforts to prepare desserts. It has become a tradition in almost every Muslim country.

Like every year, the Muslim ummah is preparing for great celebrations on this Eid too. Shopping malls are crowded like never before and everyone is trying to get the best buy for the Eid.
