EnviroMission is an Australian company. In 2001 enviromission had gave the proposed to build a “Solar Updraft Tower” a power generating station known as “Solar Tower Buronga” 25 km northeast of “Mildura” in “Western New South Wales” site. The base line for the project was to produce 200MW power station in the “Solar Mission” project at first and it will provide enough electricity to power 200,000 houses while dropping greenhouse CO2 emissions by as much as 750,000 tones. The solar power station produces electricity when turbines are driven by heat rising from the transparent “collector” or solar powered mirrors surrounding the tower. The rays of sun supply heat to the huge collector during the day, and at night, heat-storing objects located beneath releases its power so that the procedure could continues.
February 12, 2007 EnviroMission also claimed to be conducting viability studies to build a tower in United States of America in the city of Texas, then again on March 18th, 2007, the company board proclaimed a combination with the SolarMission Technologies, Inc. US-based, but on 11 December 2007 it was publicized that the combination proposal has been finished.
A model plant was built in by EnviroMission in Spain which has operated for seven years from 1982 to 1989, according to the survey and having the high solar radiation levels Australia is the most appropriate site and the ideal location for a large-scale, operational facility.
The more extraordinarily news was in October 2008, the vote of confidence from a “sophisticated US investor” sent EnviroMission stock up 118 per cent and out of the penny dreadful danger zone. Now “EnviroMission’s” plans to commercialize “Solar Tower technology” in United States have become official through the merging of a US supplementary, “EnviroMission (USA) Inc” which US fully own, just to commercialize EnviroMission’s operations in the United States.
