Ernie Harwell, a longtime presenter of the Baseball Hall of Fames, for the Detroit Tigers, has received wishes for good health from fans; the 91-year-old Ernie Harwell has an untreatable cancer.

Harwell never has any health problem but last month he has diagnosed, after hospitalized for four days, a tumor near a bile duct. He said he knows he will have some painful days but he don’t want to undergo surgical treatment, chemotherapy or any kind of radiation. He said he is in good spirits and has received hundreds of cards, phone calls, e-mail, blogged wishes and interview requests from hundreds of fans. He just wants to stay at home with his family and friends for rest of his life.

He has spent 55 precious years as a broadcaster, and last of the 42 years with the Tigers. In 1981, he won the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. In Tigers organization he is well known for not only his optimistic attitude, but for his manners to treat the people even to those whom he never knows. He has great memories about his longtime past he had spent in his profession. He said it’s an honor for him to be part of the family like that and there are things except fame I love the most.

Radio broadcaster Jim Price, Bullpen coach Jeff Jones, and many of his colleagues and friends recalls Harwell’s soft voice, the compassionate approach and his friendly behavior towards anyone . A large number of people and base ball lovers are praying and wishing for the Hall of Fame broadcaster’s most noticeable and special personality, Ernie Harwell, to be good at health.

Even at the time when he is suffering from an incurable disease his conduct towards others and his was crystal clear voice is appreciable.
