The Federalist Papers are now on the web. The Federalist Papers is the accumulation of constitutional law of United States of America which was published with intent to have public opinion on the proposed constitution. The Federalist Papers were compiled and then printed in 1787 and 1788 to convince New Yorkers to approve the constitution. As a whole, the Federalist Papers comprises 85 articles describing how the new regime will be run and what form of government might be suitable for the United States of America.
In other words, it was the American constitution in crude form giving a synopsis of the prospective and mutually accepted constitution. Now who wrote these Federalist Papers? There are conflicting views regarding the authors of the federalist papers but there a unanimous opinion about some authors. Among 85 total articles, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay contributed 52, 28 and 5 articles respectively. The “Federalist Papers” is a key to understand the constitution of United Sates of America for anyone.
Now the federalist papers are on the web. Rob Knautz is the creator of the web version of these Federalist Papers. They became available on line in 1996. The Federalist Papers took its web-form from the raw text files from Project Gutenberg. The website provides the oldest version of the Federalist Papers which were taken form the Library of Congress. Actually Alexander Hamiltyon’s wife owned it that subsequently transferred it to her sister who further gave it to Thomas Jefferson.
Anyways, the Federalist Papers provide a bed rock on which the structure of American constitution resides and it provides an in depth understanding of U.S. constitution.
