The world is seeing a new trend in where the riches are being made as Asia is ranking high as the destination from where new billionaires are coming forth, so says the Forbes billionaire list. The top Asian country to produce new billionaires was China though when averaged out the wealthier of the Chinese billionaires couldn’t compete to India which may have produced less billionaires than China but made it to the top five on the list of the worlds richest men.

In the Forbes billionaire list two hundred and thirty-four billionaires from the total of one thousand and eleven came from Asian countries securing twenty-three percent of the total amount of billionaires. This figure has witnessed a fifty-six percent leap from last years figures when only a hundred and thirty of the worlds billionaires came from Asia.

On the other hand America still remains on top of the billionaires list holding as many as four hundred and three billionaires however, Americas top player Bill Gates was moved down to second position when Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim overtook him by adding eighteen and a half billion dollars to his total net worth.

On the Forbes billionaire list a total of ninety-seven new entries were made this year out of which sixty-two were Asian entries leaving the rest of the world with just thirty-five new billionaires. Amongst the richest people in the world stands Mukesh Ambani, an Indian industrialist who has made it to number fourth on the list right after Warren Buffet by being valued at twenty-nine billion dollars.
