Fuzzy Zoeller want to ensure that he won the 30th anniversary Augusta Championship on his very first try. While Tiger Woods has never started Augusta Championship fast enough, besides the fact that he has won four green jackets, and it can be done by woods again maybe in the middle of the tournament by the end of the week.

Todd Hamilton’s was leading the tournament on Friday morning 70. Larry Mize followed his opening 67 with a 76, and Tom Watson soared from 74 a 83.

Fuzzy Zoeller, one of golf’s most vivid characters, is distrustful due to some off-color comments he made at last week’s Masters Golf Tournament.

At the tournament while speaking to reporters, Zoe’ler in reference to Tiger Woods said “that little boy” and advised Mr. Woods not to order collard greens or fried chicken for the Champions Dinner next year. A CNN cameraman recorded the remarks, and was aired on Sunday on CNN’s “Pro Golf Weekly” hosted by Jim Huber.

The 1979 Master Champion Zoeller, apologized On Monday he said “My comments were not intended to be ethnically offensive, and I apologize for the fact that they were misunderstood in that manner, the 45 year old Zoeller said”.

Woods became the first African American to won a major professional Golf Tournament by shooting a record 18 under par at the age of just 21. Tiger Woods’ father and mother are African-American and Asian-American respectively.

Zoeller is free spirited good-natured man. Tom L’hman a friend of Zoeller and a number one ranked golf pro said. “He most likely would have said the same thing to Tiger’s face and they both would have laughed about it, but it was not the best time, and sure was not appropriate.”

Woods was unavailable for statement, and Zoeller said that they have not spoke also, but planned to do so as soon as possible. Zoeller also said “I have been on the tour for 23 years and anybody who knows me knows that I am “funny man”, and I said those words as a joke and if Mr. Woods is hurt by it, I apologize to him.
