Google’s new version of O.S for cell phones is called Android 2.0. Much hyped about Droid phone is based around Google’s Android 2.0. Here are few features of the operating system
Motorola Droid feels fast to run applications. Even as it multi tasks the features are more readily accessible.
Zooming function gets a boost.
The contact list includes the contacts from Facebook.
Android 2.0 incorporates Google’s new and updated version of Google Maps.
Much improved support for Microsoft Exchange.
Users can integrate the e-mails from various accounts into one place.
Easier upload of videos.
Features to make it easier to use the phones while driving
Motorola’s Droid which is expected to hit the stores on 1st November 2009 features Android 2.0 platform. The O.S has definitely added charms to the Droid phone. Though the phone is not yet available its ad lists and the features are intended to make it direct competitor of iPhone. The best thing about Android 2.0 is that it is based on open source platform. The feature would allow software developers to develop applications and widgets around the Android 2.0. Another reason for Droid to be a faster device is the processor it uses. It is OMAP3430 processor. The phone is as thin as an Apple iPhone and comes with a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen capabilities. It has 5 mega pixel camera with night shooting capability. What it lacks is Apple’s secret weapon – itunes.
Samsung’s Moment is also expected to be available in the markets by 1st. November.
