Many people in Japan who love bas-ball know Hideki Matsui as a person with a lot of inconsistencies. The tall kind-hearted guy a strict and self-regulated player is also known for his vulgar jokes. But the icon is a man of principal and always refused to play for his motherland in international matches and this disgruntles his Japanese fans.

Matsui’s performance was marvelous at the World Series and sent a very clear signal that he not only proved his worth but also lifted the flag of his homeland whose strength made the victory possible. He was named as the most worthy player by the media. His performance was so much outstanding that most experts had the opinion that New York Yankees couldn’t have won without him.

Hideki Matsui gets mad while playing and this craze paved the way towards victory. “When Matsui does well, he helps wins recognition for Japanese baseball,” said Suguru Egawa who is a base-ball analyst. He commented that Japanese have proved that they are the big hitters as well.

Japanese nation has capitalized his talent and was waiting for his towering performance to stimulate the younger generations of Japan to prove their worth in America. He will prove to be a role model for his homeland’s budding base-ball players. Matsui who is 35 years old with a tall structure is called by his fans as Godzilla when he played in a Japanese series.

According to N.Y Daily News Hideki Matsui’s 4-year contract with Yankee’s is almost over and there is a great possibility that he may not make it back in the team this time.
