Los Angeles, California – — Jennifer Jones, the beautiful, charming and graceful actress and wife of industrialist and art collector Norton Simon died at the age of 90 this Thursday. Jennifer Jones Simon won the Oscar Award for being the best actress back in 1943.

A family spokesperson confirmed the death of 90-year-old actress Jennifer Jones on Thursday.

Jennifer Jones was the one who threw a coming-out party back in the October of 1999 for the museum that her husband industrialist and art collector Norton Simon established in Pasadena, he died in 1993.

Jennifer Jones became Jennifer Jones Simon back in 1971 when she married Norton Simon.

Mrs. Simon and staff of the museum planned the occasion to unveil the collection after major renovation which enhanced the collection and art pieces and made the museum much more inviting and appealing for the visitors. After the re-opening of the museum Jennifer Jones Simon assumed the new role of life to become the cultural legacy.

But death has not given her much chance to prove her abilities and skills in the field of culture she passed away at the age of 90 this Thursday.

Born with the name “Phylis Lee Isley” in 1919 in Tulsa, Oklahoma changed her name in 40’s when she moved to Hollywood to pursue her acting career. She married Robert Hudson before starting her acting career in 1939. They had a son together. Then in 1945 she divorced Robert Hudson Walker due to unrecognisable differences and married legendary producer David O. Selznick in 1949. She had a baby daughter with Selzinck.

Time had passed and David O. Selznick died in 1965…after the death of her beloved husband Jennifer Jones married Norton Simon. He was an industrialist and art collector, both moved to India where Simon spend much of his time collecting Southeast and South Asian art.

Jennifer Jones’s last appearance in any movie was in 1974 when she appeared in “The Towering Inferno”.

She become the chairperson of her husband’s museum after his death and served her duties well she took retirement from the museum back in 2003.
