“Accomplish the wish of a dying father George Kadris who always wanted to provide a happy and safe home for his adopted children with special needs and his wife”.

George Kadzis father and husband from Tallahassee, Florida, had been fighting a very dangerous brain cancer. George’s only wish was to present his wife and children with a safe home.

In the emotional two-hour episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” aired on Sunday, 12th April, 2009 on the ABC Television Network. In the show family of George Kadzis has been told that their hurricane-smashed home will be reconstructed and customized in seven days.

The moment of cheers came in the life of Barbara Kadzis, wife of George Kadzis around 9:30 a.m. Friday when Ty Pennington, host of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” knocked the door of Tallahassee resident.

Barbra was told that the ABC show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” has chosen her and her husband, George, as local heroes, thus their house dramatically reconstructed during the next week.

The words came out of her mouth as builders, members of the media, neighbors and others surrounded the family were “I can’t say a big enough thanks, she also said that what goes around comes around but in a time like this when people are losing their jobs, I can’t say a bigger thank you”.

George is afflicted from an antagonistic form of brain cancer and on Thursday he could no longer walk.

Barbara has three adult children from her previous marriage other than that Barbara and George adopted six children with disabilities from China. They also have one biological son.
