Kristy McNichol formally Christina Ann McNichol, the biggest teen star of her time, Kristy McNichol acting career spanning over good 24 years ended in 1992. She was born on 11th September 1962 in Los Angles California. She played a number of roles on TV and in Movies. She got clicked and most famous from her role in Drama serial Family and for Empty Nest as Barbara Weston. She first appeared with her brother in an advertisement.

Jimmy McNichol, the child actor is the brother of Kristy McNichol. Kristy started her career with a television series on CBS named Apple’s Way and she ended her career after she suffered from bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder was diagnosed in 1992.

Kristy started her career in feature films in Burt Reynolds. She was at peak of her career and she got the maximum fame as a teen star during late 70s whereas in early 80s, her fame started to decline, she had a serious flopped film in 1982 named The Pirate Movie, it was a musical film but box office didn’t accepted it. In the same year she had a controversy on the set, she was reported to use the drugs and her reputation was badly damaged with the incident.

Her last appearance was The Golden Girls; she left the series in the same year when she was diagnosed with the bipolar disorder. She did some voice over’s in animated TV series later.

Kristy has never been involved in any kind of relationship and she never got married. She still lives in Los Angles and after retiring from acting, she got connected with school, where she taught acting for a while. She devoted major part of her retired life for the noble activities like charity.
