Born in 1956 Latoya Jackson is the fifth child of famous Jackson family, originally from Gray, Indiana, U.S Latoya Jackson’s career started as a singer in 1980’s, she was the member of former band “Jackson Five”. Her first single came in 1981 “If You Feel the Funk” but was a minor success, reaching to top40 of the R&B charts, however the self-titled album was a failure. In 1986 Latoya Jackson has won the “Outstanding Song Award” for her song “Baby Sister” at World Popular Song festival in Japan.

Latoya Jackson is not only a singer but she is a song writer, actress, musician, author and a model too. March 1989 issue of Playboy magazine is dedicated to Latoya Jackson; her nude photos in the magazine were instant hit selling over 8 million copies of the issue. This was the first time that Latoya Jackson was featured in Playboy; the magazine hit a record number of sales becoming the best selling issue ever.

Then in 1991 once again Latoya Jackson appeared in Playboy magazine, but this time it was to promote her autobiography. In 1994 she became the first celebrity to appear in a playboy video, which was aired in the same year. She also appeared in the hit British TV show “Celebrity big Brother” as a contestant in January 2009. Latoya Jackson forthcoming album “Startin Over” once again has been delayed, which she has been planning to release for over a decade now.
