Len Bias Death

Len Bias’s death still has lot to reveal after more then 20 years. Kirk Fraser directed a film based on the life of Len Bias and his death, the film named Without Bias premiered on ESPN series 30 for 30 this week.
Len Bias was the famous basketball player of All American college basketball. He started his basketball career from University of Maryland. He died in June 1986 after having an excessive dose of cocaine but the mystery still to be solved

The Fraser has the strong intentions and the production team has promoted the film in a way that the film is one of the most comprehensive, transparent and near to reality ever portrayed the facts of life and the death of Len Bias.

This was not a casual statement to release it really shows that Fraser, the director of the film completed his homework regarding this film. He must have met the family members, friends, girl friend, teammates, coaches and other people related to the Len Bias; otherwise such a promotional claim to dramatize a film based on near to reality of Len Bias life and death would be near to impossible.

If you go for the premier or the movie, the sky rocking and confident promotional claims about the Without Bias didn’t comply with the story. There are many loops and question marks which Fraser failed to answer like what exactly happened at that night when he used cocaine, on the other hand his girlfriend told that as per her information Len never used any kind of drugs but his friend on that particular night revealed that Len and he used the cocaine before. Complication is there

Fraser did claimed that he got many interviews with Len to make things clear in the film but after watching the film the claims proved to be the promotional tools without reality.

Well, after many films on Len’s Life and death, the confusion about the young death of Len and other questions still remains there.

Another question arises that will they ever be solved or it is just a kind of business to do?
