Lisa Nowak pleaded the court to keep herself out of jail. Former astronaut, Lisa Nowak, was arrested due to charges for attack against her rival in a ‘love triangle’ in 2007. She agreed to plea the court to keep herself out of jail.

Lisa Nowak, 46, was arrested due to some serious charges against her. Allegations were made against the ex-astronaut and she was charged with attempt of kidnapping of Colleen Shipman. Colleen Shipman was dating Lisa Nowak’s ex-boyfriend and Cmdr. William Oefelein. Lisa started considering shipman her romantic rival when she got to know that Colleen Shipman is dating her love interest. Lisa Nowak drove to Florida from Texas to face up to her. She confronted Shipman in a parking lot and tried to push her into her car and then attacked her with pepper spray. Lisa was arrested by the police in a short time after the incident while she was trying to get rid of a plastic bag. Police found BB pistol, a knife, several big-sized plastic bags, and a mallet in the bag. Lisa was arrested by the police and was charged with attempted kidnapping. Lisa Nowak was sent on probation after she was kept in jail for two days.

She remained on probation while her case was being heard by the jury. In a court hearing, Lisa Nowak apologized to Colleen Shipman hence her severe sentences were waived off by the jury. Nowak was sentenced with 50-hours of community service and was also asked to take anger management classes of 8-hour duration. While the court decision made Nowak able to keep her out of jail, Colleen Shipman requested the court for a more severe sentence. In a tearful request Colleen told the jury that the attack has affected her terribly and that due to the attack she has suffered a lot. She pleaded the court to give Lisa a more serious sentence.

Lisa Nowak, during a court hearing, told Colleen that she has no intention to harm her and that both of them should move on.
