The police officials of Fayetteville have made an official statement while addressing a press conference that Shaniya Davis was actually murdered and an accused, Mario McNeill is alleged to be the killer of the child.
The police chief Tom Bergamine stated that the death has been proved to be a homicide. Five years old girl vanished when she was out side of her house. Her corpse was found in the outskirts of the area south of Sanford in Lee County.
The initial medical examination has revealed that she died due to suffocation but the detailed tests will tell what happened actually. So the autopsy report will be issued after the detailed tests are done. It was suspected that she was murdered at Sanford hotel which showed her footage captured by the close circuit camera.
The Sanford hotel was the place where she was last seen in the same morning when her mother reported her disappearance. Mario has been charged with rape and murder of the girl. He was already been accused of kidnapping Davis. His bail has been denied by the court of law and he is detained at the Camberley County Detention Center.
On Friday, he will be presented before the court. Shaniya’s mother is also in jail on the charges of forcing her daughter for prostitution. The Cumberland County district attorney will handle the case and he hoped that Shaniya’s family will soon over come the mental torture and distress. The police officials have said that they have not done with the investigation yet and it is still going on. That’s why they are not disclosing the facts of the case at this moment of time.
