Patrick Clugston

The former school teacher “Patrick Clugston” uses to teach English at “Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School” in Lower Gwynedd, Pa. Patrick has been accused and charged with putting in danger the welfare of a child, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

Patrick M. Clugston, 44, of Lansdale, Pa. was charged after the report filed against him by her former student for having an improper relationship back in 2002 ? 2003, at that time the girl was 14 years of age (now 21) filed the report last month saying that the relationship started with IM chat in the November of 2002 and then grown to physical by March 2003, liaisons within the school premises many times in a week, she also said that “she has come forward out of this fear that Mr. Patrick might have done the similar things with his other underage students”. The girl was in the ninth-grade at the time. Though they never had sexual intercourse but they would sometimes meet in his classroom or the school newspaper office to “kiss, touch and fondle”. This all well all the way until the end of school year.

Patrick admits to the flirting charges and having an improper contact with the girl during police investigation last month by saying, “it is a colossal mistake”.

District Attorney “Risa Vetri Ferman” for Montgomery County Pa. said “She was a ninth-grade little girl and was at such a young and tender age that anything she might have said or done would never have justified the type of conduct in which we believe he has engaged”, he also said that “As an English teacher, you expect him to instill a love of literature, Instead, he was trying to expose her to lust and sexuality” adding more to it he also said “As she became a college student and an adult, she realized that this type of conduct was completely wrong and needed to be reported so that it did not happen to anyone else”.

Patrick has resigned from the school, after dealing with the accusation. He was released on $25,000 bail, the first hearing of the case will be held in the local court on May 1.
