Paula Deen was helping to distribute hams and turkeys for hungry population. Suddenly someone threw a piece of ham that mistakenly hit Paula Deen right on her nose. In the video of the event Paula Deen can be seen wearing purple colored baggy dress and is all smiles. Paula Deen and the staff of the company is seen standing around, passing on the packets of meat. As she passes on a packet she bends and there a piece hits her. Deen quickly recovered her composure and is all smiles again.

It has been confirmed that Paula Deen has not been injured in any way as the result of the “flying ham” incident. She is feeling some discomfort in the nose area for which she is said to be applying ice packs.

Paula later said that at the moment she thought that the flying ham had made her lip to bleed but fortunately that didn’t happen and that the feeling of helping the hungry overcame the pain she felt.

She also said that one must be able to laugh after the events like this.

Paula Deen was doing the charity work for Smithfield Foods’. The company was distributing Turkey and ham as a part of their “Corporate Social Responsibility” program.

Paula Deen is a celebrity chef , has also appeared in a movie and owns a restaurant. Perhaps 2007 was her luckiest year, when she won two Emmy awards. She has coped with anxiety and panic attacks in her life before becoming a celebrity.
