Radon is a colorless, neutral, tasteless, naturally occurring, radioactive gas that is formed from the decomposing of radium.

Radon is a very dangerous gas you cannot see, smell or tastes it but it can cause many problems in your house. Estimation shows that radon cause thousands of deaths each year because you can suffer with lung-cancer by smelling radon.

Radon gas is apparently the second most frequent cause of lung cancer, after cigarettes. Radon was discovered by Friedrich Ernst Dorn in 1900. Radon comes from the natural”radioactive” breakdown of uranium in soil.

Only by testing you and your family could know that if you are at risk from radon or not. Environmental Protection Agency recommends testing all homes and specially schools for radon.

The EPA recommends that you should install a system to reduce radon gas in your home if the level of gas is 4 picocuries.

Radon is also found in many petroleum products the reason behind it is radon has a similar temperature and pressure camber as propane.

Although radon is a global source of emission of meticulous fear on average it is very rare. This extremely radioactive constituent can be found in high concentrations in many areas of the world, where it represents major health vulnerability.

The universal effects of radon to the human body are caused by its radioactivity and subsequent risk of radiation induced cancer. The major particular foundation of emission disclosure to the broad-spectrum public is naturally occurring radon gas approximately 55%.

The best protection which can be offered from radon is to be conscious and be aware of facts and dangerous of this gas because it can be found almost anywhere and can cause serious health problems to anyone.
