Rocket Crash into Moon
Moon fascinates the man from the time it had been seen and there is still the question of water between man and moon. NASA was trying to find out the existence of water on the moon. This outstanding task was done by the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS). The experiment was made to know the fact about the existence of water and one of NASA rocket was planned to strike with the moon on Friday. This rocket crashed on the surface of the moon and dust was examined after the crash. This crash served the scientists with the fact of the existence of water or ice.
NASA explains that it was a concluding assessment to prove the presence of water though NASA already has confirmed the presence of water on the surface of moon; with this confirmation new doors for research will be opened and NASA will do more work for the chances of habitation and dwelling on the moon.
This collision examined a striking hit with the speed of 9,000km/hr with the help of 585KG missile craft.
Scientist has had the time of 120sec from collision to dust clearance to take interpretations and there will be five cameras to record the whole process.
This was not the first mission; nine missions have succeeded to bring the sample of rocks from the surface of moon that proves the earth bearing qualities. The former Soviet Union, Japan the United States, Europe, China and India have all succeeded tough Moon landings. These super powers of the worlds are trying to capture the surface of moon.
