Ronnie and Donnie Galyon are oldest conjoined twins of the world and only adult male conjoined twins of the world as well. Ronnie and Donnie Galyon were born in Dayton, Ohio in 28th of October, 1951. The brothers joined from the sternum (the flat bone that articulates with the clavicles and the first seven pairs of ribs) to the groin and were delivered vaginally.

According to Ward Hall, when they were born the mother of twins did not accept them; left them to be raised by their father “Wesley” and later on stepmother “Mary”. Ronnie and Donnie Galyon’s initial two passed in and out of the hospital as doctors attempted to determine that whether twins can be separated or not during that course. But the doctors decided that it was not best to separate the twins because both share a single set of male organs, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon learned to walk in the age of 29 months.

Mr. Galyon did not want to put his sons on exhibition but when he got the medical bill which he could not pay otherwise then he realized should have exhibited his sons. So, Ronnie and Donnie Galyon were exhibited in an air-conditioned promo for most of their show careers, where twins lounged about watching TV while viewers peered in the window at them. The book “Psychological Profiles of Conjoined Twins by J. David Smith” in 1988 discusses some of the comprehensively tests conducted on the brothers, determining as they seem much slower due to lack of an education so whether their IQs in the normal range or not. Twins also have battled irritation problems since from early age and have rarely gotten into fist fights over the years. One twin brother broke his foot at age of fourteen by kicking a trailer in a fit of anger.

Ronnie and Donnie Galyon have generally enjoyable memories of life in the sideshow, but they like the freedom of retired life and say they would never return show business. When a question asked about their separation then twins reply in harmony, “No Way!”
