Roy Jones and Danny Green encounter took only 122 seconds to decide the game. It was a sitter for Danny Green and a nightmare for Roy Jones. Roy Jones was totally out of touch as Danny Green secured and retained his IBO Cruiserweight title by defeating Roy Jones through TKO (Technical Knockout).

36 year old Danny Green was defending his IBO Cruiserweight title, on the other hand Roy Jones travelled abroad for the first time for another Boxing title in his career of 20 years. He was heavily paid for this particular tour to create history by becoming the first boxer to won all the world titles in every weight divisions. He is the man who has all the world titles except IBO cruiserweight under his belt.

Danny Green never provided even a single moment to his opponent to settle down and smashed him on the ground in the third minute of the first round.

When the game started, the Jones was favorite but Green started his game in a very aggressive manner. His right hand punch was strong enough to disturb Jones and he was down on the ground, he tried to stand up

but another punch and he was down again which forced the referee to call it a TKO. It is just the 3rd time in Jones’s entire career that he lost the game.

Jones is one of the legend boxers and regarded as one of the best boxers in the history of boxing, but the defeat against Green turned the game around. The defeat is a signal for him to wind up and he also admits the fact.

Green was overexcited; he said it was a great game for me. Jones said the defeat forced him to think about retirement.
