Goodbye Cable… Sezmi is the new ‘it’ TV service. I had long been longing for a TV service which could provide me internet channels as well as TV channels on the same television. I love to browse internet to get news but at the same time cannot ignore TV altogether as TV brings tremendous news channels too. It seems like the services provided by Sezmi will solve my problem. Sezmi is a new TV service which would provide channels through two mediums i.e. air and internet. Sezmi has combined features like TV, video-on-demand, and Internet video in one device hence making it a complete package of entertainment. The Sezmi box contains a powerful HDTV antenna mounted inside the device and looks like a speaker. According to the Sezmi executives, the antenna reception capability is so strong that it gives better results than most of the roof-top HDTV antennas. The box also comes with a 1 TB hard drive which would allow every family member to set-up his own personalized collection of videos and would be able to enjoy the facility of videos-on-demand.

The cable channel line-up which would be available on Sezmi includes BBC, CNN, ABC, Comedy Central, MSNBC, Discovery, TBS, TNT, SyFy, Oxygen, Nickelodeon, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, and Bravo. Many other channels will soon be added into the line-up.

The three-month trial service has started on Monday in Los Angeles. The company pricing of the Sezmi box is $299. The service charges per month will have to be paid separately. The first buyers of the device will get three-month trial offer with free cable service. The Sezmi box will be available in retail stores as well as franchises of DSL ISPs.
