Shark Boy and Lava Girl is a 2005 fantasy movie for kids. The film is made by Robert Rodriguez, and the interesting facts about the film is that most of it was conceived by Rodriguez’ son Racer. The hero of the film is a kid named Max. Max’s parents have no time for him and he is vandalized in school. To get away from his circumstances, Max creates a fantasy world named Planet Drool. To populate the planet he creates two fantasy characters one is Shark Boy – a kid raised by sharks and a lava girl who is revealed to be light. Max has two foes at school, a bully named Linus and a teacher Mr. Electricidad. All the details of the creation of Planet Drool are meticulously kept in Max’s journal. However Linus steals the journal and everything becomes tipsy turvy. To avoid all the chaos Max escapes to Planet Drool, only to learn that the conditions are going bad there also. The main culprit behind all the degradation is Mr. Electric.

To add to the worries of Max, Shark Boy and Lava Girl, Linus is also present in Planet Drool with the name Minus and is hell bent on destroying the whole planet by corrupting the entries in Max’s Journal. Max is able to retrieve his journal from Minus. He is also able to get Crystal Heart from Ice Princess and gives ice heart to his girl friend Marissa.

The film ends with all the foes turning into friends. Shark Boy and Lava Girl also find a new relationship between them.
