T20 Semi Final Highlights

Results came out from first semi final of ICC t20 semi final played last night in Nottingham, England. South Africa has struggled to maintain its unbeaten record in tournament, but Pakistan did not give any chance to South Africa for this and beat South Africa by 9 runs. Both teams were looking in their most excellent forms. South Africa was on peak throughout the tournament. Pakistan has come back very aggressively after a losing game with Sri-Lanka.

In first t20 semi final, Pakistan has won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan has loose couple of early wickets of Shahzaib Hassan out for duck and Karman Akmal, who was bating very aggressively and made 23 runs of just 12 balls. In first 3 overs South Africa did not fielded well, although they have best fielding side in the world. Later on Shahid Afridi made 54 runs of just 34 balls, and gave such a good start to Pakistani team. It was seemed that Pakistan will be able to make the total of 180, but South Africa came back in the game in last five overs. They bowl really very well and restricted Pakistan to the total up to 149-4 at the run rate of 7.45 per over.

In the second innings of t20 semi final, South Africa started well in the beginnings overs and then Pakistan got first break through in 6th over, when Amir took the wicket of Smith who made just 10 runs in 14 balls. Then after that Shahid Afridi (4-16-2) bowled really very well took two important wickets of Gibbs and AB de Villiers. Then dot balls came up, Pakistani team has built up pressure on South Africa very successfully. Kallis and JP Duminy have struggled a lot against Pakistani bowlers but all in vain, the asking run rate goes up and up. Umer gul (3-19-0) once again bowled right in the block hole and didn’t give any chance to batsman for boundary. Finally kallis was out after good innings, he made 64 runs. And at the end victory belonged to Pakistani team, they really have bowled out south Africa after a good game of cricket and south Africa could not chase the total of only 150, which was not a grand total in t20 game for South Africa.
