John Grisham, one of the personal favorite writers is known for his novels which are based on legal thrillers. He is a politician and a very prolific and capable lawyer by profession. Hundred of his novels have been published and have also been adapted for movies. All his writings revolve around courts, crime and law and that is because he is a lawyer and has a deep love and regard for his profession. He has won several awards for his writing. John Grisham’s fans are spread all over the world.

The Rainmaker is also one of the many masterpieces by John Grisham. The novel was written in the annum ’95 and was adapted for movie two years later that is in ’97. Usually it happens that the directors fail to bring the real story and emotions on the screen as they are depicted in the novel. And we must thank the director for not keeping any discrepancies. The most unusual part about the novel The Rainmaker is that it has been written in present tense from beginning to the end whereas mostly novels are written in past tense or rarely future.

The Rainmaker has a very strong story which revolves around a young lawyer Rudy Baylor. Right after his graduation, he was hired by one of the top law practicing agencies Memphis Law Firm. The firm was acquired by another company and among the many lawyers which were laid off—was Rudy Baylor. Then he struggles very hard to make his career by working as a freelance lawyer and tries his best to provide justice to his clients.
