Tyler Hoechlin has been selected for the ‘Teen Wolf’ cast.

MTV is venturing into the remake of ‘Teen Wolf’ and has recently announced its cast. The cast includes Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed, and Dylan O’Brien.

According to the details, MTV announced its new venture in June 2009 along with seven other new projects. MTV announced that the remake of the 1985′s hit thriller will be written by Jeff Davis and will be produced by Marty Adelstein and Rene Echevarria. The cast was not revealed at that time as multiple options were under consideration. However, in a recent announcement MTV reveals the finalized cast members.

The finalized cast members include Tyler Posey in the lead character while Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed, and Dylan O’Brien will appear in the remake as supporting characters. The insider news about the remake is that the film will revolve around a teen ager Scott McCall who discovers that he is a werewolf. To add spice to the theme, a romantic plot will also be included along with soft elements of buddy-comedy.

Tyler Posey has previously appeared in TV series ‘Lincoln Heights’ and ‘Brothers & Sisters’. He has also appeared in film ‘Maid in Manhattan’ as J Lo’s son. Tyler Posey will appear as Scot McCall in ‘Teen Wolves’.

Dylan O’ Brien will appear as Posey’s best buddy while Reed will be appearing as a high-school girl interested in Posey.

Tyler Hoechlin’s character is also interesting. Hoechlin will be appearing as a handsome-looking boy who lives in the local community and has capability of a harmful werewolf. For those who know little about Hoechlin, here’s a brief introduction:

Tyler Hoechlin is an American actor. Born in 1987, Tyler Hoechlin is one of the prominent young emerging actors. He has previously appeared in ‘Road to Perdition’ along with Tom Hanks. Hoechlin’s performance in Road to Perdition landed him the role of Martin Brewer in 7th Heaven. In 2004, Hoechlin was nominated for Teen Choice Award.

Along with his acting career, Tyler Hoechlin’s other activities include playing baseball. Tyler Hoechlin is currently affiliated with UC Irvine Anteaters.
