Jamaican Olympic athlete Usain Bolt was born in August 21, 1986. Bolt is a sprinter for Jamaica and he holds the records for 100 meters, 200 meters, and 400 meter relay set by him in 2008 Olympics.

His records consist of 100 meters in 9.69 seconds, 200 meters in 19.30 seconds and 400 meter relay with his teammate in 37.10 seconds.

Bolt once again stood tall when he became the first junior sprinter to run the 200 meters in 19.93 seconds and broke the record of “Roy Martins” by just two-tenths of a second in 2004, at the CARIFTA Games. Bolt once again was in the headlines when he break his own record for 100 meters improving it with 0.4 seconds his first record was 9.76 seconds in May 2008 which was made earlier in the month.

Recently during an interview Bolt said that “When you’re a child in Jamaica, you learn how to roll a joint” and now he is up ask apologies for his statement from the people of Jamaica.

Usain Bolt’s publicist must have jumbled to get him to subject an apology. Bolt apologized from the people of Jamaica for signifying that all young Jamaicans rolled joints and recommended that all athletes should avoid doing drugs by saying that he also made a point that he has not done drugs in his past life.

Usain Bolt’s actual words were “I want to apologies to the Jamaican people if at any time it may have come across that all young people roll a joint”.

I gave a long and healthy thought to the Bolt’s original statement and came to this conclusion that now a days it become so hard for National Heroes, Celebrities and other people like them to talk frankly in the public and with the public anymore. In my opinion all Bolt was trying to do was giving us a peek of the Jamaican lifestyle, but then he had to apologize for his avowal out of fear for any anti-drug reaction.
